She is amazingly organized and knowledgeable. We flew down to NC for three days hoping to optimize every minute of our home search. Depoimento: Kathleen Behringer has 10 properties in the Eagles Landing subdivision off of Longleaf Drive in Auburn, Alabama. She herself lives in Florida, and relies heavily on independant agents to do her work for her. If you attempt to contact her regarding a maintenance problem, there is a chance you will not hear back from her at all. The lights in the vaulted ceilings were burnt out in multiple of her properties for months, and she simply told tenants that they should buy lamps. She does not meet her end of the contract by providing cable and internet herself. She may pay the bill, but you will be responsible for getting the equipment, putting it in your name, risk your name being on the actual bill, and having to deal with Charter communications yourself. If you have disputes regarding your roommates engaging in dangerous or illegal activity- do not waste your time attempting to get her involved. She will merely remind you that she is not a babysitter. That is after she reprimands you for calling her at an inconvenient time, which is always. She will try to harass you and threaten you into prepaying her rent. She will tell you that you are not allowed to drop off your payments at the bank like it says you're allowed to in the lease, and like every other tenant does. She is not above trying to blackmail you through her attorney's office by withholding your security deposit. She will develop false claims that you illegally retained your keys after the lease ends and threaten to contact police. She will refuse to communicate with professional students in their mid 20's, and will force these students into having their parents get involved. She gossips about her tenants to other tenants, and discusses their financial matters with them. She is highly unprofessional, she breaks the law on a regular basis, does not keep up proper maintenance at her properties, and overcharges compared to the other owners in the subdivision. Do yourself a favor and look for any other landlord EXCEPT Kathleeen Behringer.

Depoimento: Jeramie McLaughlin didn't respond to my wife and I when we requested to see a house that was available to the public for viewing. We called once and texted twice. Consequently, I was forced to go in with an agent and found the house was incorrectly advertised. After I put in the highest offer and a lower offer got the house (presumably an investor), I reached out to Jeramie and this time Jeramie responded to my text, and that's when I realized his text was working (because he answered me) and he just didn't answer me about viewing the house (with only a couple of days deadline to submit an offer). Then he blocked my number after I asked him to keep me in mind if the lower offer deal fell through - childish and unprofessional. I noticed he blocked me because calls went through when my wife tried on her phone.  While I was disappointed, I never used unprofessional language and should've been able to reach the listing agent on the house, as is my right. This showed he was biased and not even considering us as a backup. Called his broker, Tom Blefko, at Berkshire Hathaway ( to try to resolve the issue) and instead of addressing my concern he was aggressive and unapologetic. I wrote Jeramie's business partner, Laura McLaughlin, again saying I wanted to give him a chance to address his behavior (not picking up/blocking us) and to be kept in mind as a back up. Once again they didn't respond. Only response was to "tell on me" (again childish and unprofessional) to the agent I went in with (that submitted my offer). That's an agent I would've considered viewing houses with again in the future (especially with listing agents like Jeramie that don't respond to let you in to view a house open for viewing with a deadline on offers). A good place to point out: It's my right to represent myself. I gave him several chances to address the situation professionally and he will not. I would not recommend using this agent as a listing agent (or in general).
