Depoimento: Malea is not the type of real estate agent who just places a “for sale” sign on your property, sits back, and waits for the offers to come in. Before we placed my home on the market, Malea personally met with me to determine my ideal timeline and goals. Malea came to our first meeting prepared with an adaptable marketing plan. She told me that she would do all she could to help me achieve my real estate goals, whatever they might be. Malea advised me about where to focus the limited resources I had set aside to spruce up my home in preparation for placing it on the market. She successfully generated interest in the property by networking with other agents and promoting it through multiple channels. She was able to tout the positive aspects of my neighborhood because she went out of her way to get to know it well.Once on the market, we had a steady stream of prospective buyers tour the property. Shortly after placing my home on the market, there was a foreclosure in the neighborhood. The foreclosure price was significantly less than any similar home had sold for in the past 3 years. While interest in my home remained steady, prospective buyers expected my selling price to drop accordingly. To her credit, Malea did not pressure me to agree to any offer I was not comfortable accepting. Based in large part on the foreclosure, I ultimately decided to remove my home from the MLS in order to explore refinancing as a possible alternative to selling. After I committed to exploring refinancing, someone who had earlier toured my home made an offer. Notably, this offer was in the range of my asking price and even higher than the most recent non-foreclosure sale in the area. I credit Malea for procuring this offer notwithstanding the foreclosure dragging values down. Ultimately, I decided to remain in my home. Consistent with her initial promise to help me achieve my real estate goals, Malea assisted me with the re-fi process. Her commitment in this regard, despite the fact that I was no longer officially a client, exemplifies Malea’s high level of professionalism and integrity. I would recommend Malea to anyone considering buying or selling a home and without question I would work with her again in connection with any future real estate transaction.
